Another solar farm application in Devon. Sept 2025

We are faced with yet another large solar farm in Devon.  This time at Talaton, East Devon.  The site comprises 147 acres of farmland, some 60.7% of which is graded Best & Most Versatile (BMV) – Grade 2 and Grade 3a.   We have submitted a comprehensive objection to the application as it conflicts with national and local policies; the benefits of the proposed solar farm have been exaggerated and many of the harms ignored. In reality, there may be no benefits to outweigh the many harms we have outlined in our submission to East Devon District Council.

The application reference number is 24/1098/MFUL, Land West of Escot Park, Talaton, East Devon.
