CPRE is one of the country’s longest-running environmental charities, founded in 1926 to preserve and protect the countryside and rural environment from the unplanned consequences of progress and development. We have tens of thousands of members in county-based branches nationwide, dedicated to ensuring a sustainable future for England’s countryside.

Devon CPRE is an independent registered charity (no. 1175228) and the Devon Branch of The Campaign to Protect Rural England. We are one of the largest and fastest-growing CPRE branches in the country, with hundreds of members across Devon who care passionately about our unique landscapes.

Devon CPRE is an independent charity run by a board of trustees and administered day-to-day by a Director. Our trustees all have deep real-world experience in the key fields we address, including specialists in ecology, energy, campaigning and organisational management.
